Home Assessment allows for a child’s therapy team to thoroughly examination of a client’s physical home environment including inside and outside of the home, safety considerations within this environment and accessibility. The child’s therapeutic needs as they relate to his/her home environment and activities of daily living they carry out within this environment is also assessed. Child and parent education is provided on how best to meet the child’s needs within the home environment. CTC’s team of therapists who work with the child and family may provide recommendations regarding environmental changes, behavioral changes, as well as community resources, etc., that may be of benefit to the child’s and family’s progress.
